Being a bit careful with your cash due to crap economic climate or job security fears? Or perhaps you are fed up of looking like every other Primark-clad clone? Either way, come and have a browse at the Stoke Newington Indoor Car-boot & Vintage sale this Saturday, 16 May.
Unlike regular car-boot sales, you don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to bag a bargain and if the weather forecasters get it right and it pisses down with rain you will still be snug (or should that be smug) and dry. Besides, the organisers enforce a strict ‘no junk’ policy so the wares on display will be of a much better quality than those occasional pop-up stalls you can see along Church Street. You know the ones…they usually involve an old blanket, a few dog-eared books, tattered toys and bizarrely, a lamp.
As well as quality car-booty, there will be the chance to have an aroma therapy session, feast on yummy home made cakes, and view/purchase work by local artists, photographers and designers. Help kick-start the economy by updating your wardrobe with some classic vintage or support home grown design talent – you can even get decked out in some designer garden wear for when the sun starts to shine again.
