Le Bistrotet’ was formed from members of the The Top Shelf Band after they were asked to record in a more Gypsy Swing style for the soundtrack of an Oscar winning movie.

The band plays in a classic European café-bar manner, adding suave & panache to all social proceedings. Improbable influences, original numbers & stylish old-school cover tunes – They deliver their mercurial, musical fluidity garnered from years of experience in the Vaudeville & International Scenes.

The group is fronted by Fred Snow, who not only wrote & recorded original material for the soundtrack of “The Theory of Everything”, but has travelled across the world with his music and has appeared with such luminaries as Camille O’Sullivan, Paul O’Grady, Paloma Faith, Kid Creole, Lana Del Rey, Jessie J., Brian Ferry, Buena Vista Social Club & Olly Murs!

A rare glimpse of one of bohemian Europe’s well kept secrets: Le Bistrotet.

‘Le Bistrotet’ beautifully corrupt the exquisite sounds of the inter-war French Manouche swing-jazz style!  They deliver their mercurial wit and musical fluidity garnered from years of experience in the Vaudeville otherworld.  If they don’t steal your hearts, they will steal your drinks…
