On Saturday 25 February Midnight A Go-Go returns to The Drop to host a party that celebrates everything that made the kids of 80s MTV generation rule!
Its resident DJs play the best 80s new wave, yacht rock, synth pop and classic hip hop as well as new tracks that are inspired by the decade. The result is a journey that can take you from Metronomy to Duran Duran or M83 to Grandmaster Flash. Creating both the soundtrack your youth on the dance floor and a trip down memory lane with visuals of cult film and TV clips and music videos.
Plus we will see live performances from Cymbals, who mix synths lines with discorded guitar to create a sound similar to Pavement and Talking Heads, whilst support comes from Idles who are reminisce of The Walkmen and Joy Division.
